Replacement is for a roof that is done: curled shingles, missing courses, or a deck that has been patched until the patches are the roof. Repair is for a piece that failed while the rest of the field is still sound. Leak tracing is for water that has already come inside, when the opening and the stain are not in the same place. Gutters are for water that leaves the roof and then sits against the fascia or the foundation.
